Mo was a fierce competitor and he loved his tennis. I always loved playing with him. It was an honor knowing him and he will be missed. We also shared our love of theater. Sending condolences to Susie.

Who was Mo Schneider? He was a caring, dedicated, inspiring, and beloved man who treated his student athletes as though they were his own children. Being a tennis coach was in his DNA, and decades of students benefitted from his guidance. I remember one time there was a student who wasn't the best tennis player and his father kept getting on his son's case to make the team in some capacity. I heard about this from the boy's mom, and went to talk with Mo, who admitted the student's skills weren't good enough to have him play in competitive games. So what did our compassionate coach do--he made the student his assistant coach for the season! That's our Mo. That will always be our Mo. He was one of a kind, and thank God we were fortunate to have him in our lives. He will be dearly missed, but he will live on in our hearts forever.

I have never met such a sweet, caring and giving individual. Even though I was his insurance agent, I felt like I was part of his family. He always had a joke to tell me to make me smile and enjoy my day. He will be missed.

Mo was a coaches coach. He taught other coaches not to worry about the scores but to encourage each and every player to do their best, enjoy the sport, and always smile. He was a true gift not only to his school, his family, his friends but to all that met him. He may have been small in stature but Mo was a giant in my eyes. With a smile, a hug,and a beautiful sense of humor Mo gave 100% of himself each and every day.
I am truly lucky to have known Mo. There is not a person in the tennis community that did not have the utmost respect and love for Mo.
I will miss you and always remember you . You have left your footprints on this earth with all you have done for so many of your students, parents, coaches, and community. Rest In Peace.

Mo was a kind, strong, energetic man and tennis coach. He made sure all the girls he coached were happy and treated fairly. When our daughter Brooke was a senior, Mo could not pick a captain because he didn't want the other girls to feel less important or slighted. His solution: all senior girls were co-captains! May Mo's memory be for a blessing.

A joke from Mo's book of jokes:

September 9, 2016

Two elderly women are in the car; Becky is driving and Sadie is sitting next to her. Becky goes through a red light. Being the lady that Sadie is, she doesn't say anything. Becky shoots straight through another red light. Still Sadie doesn't say anything. Finally, Becky drives through a third red light, so Sadie turns and says to her "Becky... you just went through three red lights?!". Becky turns to Sadie and says in her yiddish accent "oh... am I driving?"
